In this process, <strong>we do not use hormone replacement therapy (HRT). This means no hormonal medication is administered to prepare the endometrium for the transfer.<\/strong> The body\u2019s own hormones naturally prepare the endometrium for embryo transfer.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Will_hormone_replacement_therapy_still_be_used\"><\/span><strong>Will hormone replacement therapy still be used?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Yes, HRT will still be used for patients who do not ovulate regularly. <strong>Hormone replacement therapy remains an option for endometrial preparation in certain patients.<\/strong> Based on a personalized evaluation, the doctor will recommend the most appropriate treatment for each case.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_is_natural_cycle_embryo_transfer_recommended_for\"><\/span><strong>Who is natural cycle embryo transfer recommended for?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Natural cycle embryo transfer <strong>is suitable for all patients who are able to ovulate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that natural cycle embryo transfer has already been offered at our clinics as part of our philosophy of shared medical decision-making with patients. However, we are now implementing this practice more broadly across all our clinics and processes, demonstrating IVI\u00b4s commitment to patient safety and well-being.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"In_which_cases_will_this_protocol_be_implemented\"><\/span><strong>In which cases will this protocol be implemented?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For ovulatory patients, <strong>the natural cycle transfer protocol can be applied in those who have <a href=\"https:\/\/ivi-fertility.com\/assisted-reproduction-treatments\/vitrification-of-oocytes\/\">vitrified embryos<\/a> or are undergoing egg donation<\/strong>. Specifically, it is recommended in the following cases:<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Patients_undergoing_PGT-A\"><\/span>Patients undergoing PGT-A<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Firstly, for <strong>patients undergoing <a href=\"https:\/\/ivi-fertility.com\/assisted-reproduction-treatments\/pgd-pgt\/\">preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A)<\/a><\/strong> to detect chromosomal abnormalities, as the embryos must be vitrified while waiting for the diagnostic results.<\/p>\n<p>When is PGT-A recommended?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For <strong>patients aged 35 or older<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Women with two or more unsuccessful assisted reproduction cycles<\/li>\n<li>Patients with <strong>recurrent miscarriages of unknown cause<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Cases with previous pregnancies involving chromosomal abnormalities, especially during assisted reproduction treatments<\/li>\n<li>Couples where the sperm shows meiotic abnormalities or has a low sperm count<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Patients_with_vitrified_embryos\"><\/span>Patients with vitrified embryos<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Secondly, for<strong> patients who, for any medical reason, have vitrified embryos, as well as those undergoing a second or third transfer in a cycle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Recipients_of_donated_eggs\"><\/span>Recipients of donated eggs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Thirdly, for <strong>patients receiving donated eggs, as vitrification is required after fertilization to synchronize the transfer with endometrial preparation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>When might a patient need donated eggs?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In cases of poor egg quality<\/li>\n<li>For patients with ovarian failure and no spontaneous menstruation due to menopause<\/li>\n<li>In cases of previous IVF failure<\/li>\n<li>For women of advanced maternal age (38 or older)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This protocol applies to <strong>treatments using either partner or donor sperm<\/strong> and is always aimed at making the treatment as safe as possible for our patients.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_do_we_support_natural_cycle_embryo_transfer\"><\/span><strong>Why do we support natural cycle embryo transfer?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Primarily because of the benefits it offers our patients.
