Stronger Together: Covering km for the health of mothers and their babies

Home > Blog > Stronger Together: Covering km for the health of mothers and their babies
By the Editorial Comitee IVI Blog

We would like to present an initiative set out within our Sustainability area, which will count on the participation of all IVI employees worldwide in order to meet the goal: Stronger Together.

At IVI we help thousands of people to make their dream of having a child come true, while we innovate with our hearts to create healthy and meaningful lives. But that is not all, for us the health and future of women and babies are a priority. Therefore, this year we take another step forward and launch Stronger Together, a social initiative through which, throughout the month of October, the steps of all IVI employees will be added up (walking, running, cycling) to reach a total of 10,000 kilometres.

Would you like to know a little more about the Stronger Together challenge? Press play:

This year, in its second edition, Stronger Together will donate the money raised through the efforts of IVI’s employees to March of Dimes, a non-profit organization of US origin, helping mothers achieve full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.

This organization leads the fight for the health of all mothers and babies, through research, social programmes and comprehensive support to families.

During the more than 80 years it has been in operation, March of Dimes has generated a legacy of impact and innovation in millions of children.

One of the main projects is the fight to reduce premature births, which is the leading cause of death in newborns. Babies born prematurely are at risk of serious health problems and disabilities throughout their lives.

As Chris Wang, a member of the association, explains, “IVIRMA and March of Dimes share the goal of reducing prematurity and low birth weight of babies. We have made great progress in reducing prematurity. It is logical for our organizations to collaborate, since we both seek to minimize these risks. Neither of us can do this alone. By working together, our impact will be exponentially better and we will achieve healthier and happier babies.”

If you would like to find out more about this organization and Wang and his family’s story of personal growth, don’t miss his interview:

The Azotea Azul, first goal achieved

Last year, in the first edition of the Stronger Together initiative, IVI and its employees made the Azotea Azul project possible, which led to the creation of a circus play area for hospitalized children, located on the roof terrace of the Virgen del Rocío Children’s Hospital in Seville.

And indeed children, women and health are the three pillars on which IVI’s activity is based, as a company dedicated to women who need the help of reproductive medicine to achieve their dream of having a baby. A trident that gives meaning to the work of all professionals who experience the desire of each woman and couple who place their greatest wish in IVI’s hands as their own.

Such was the success of this corporate challenge in its first edition that the 10,000 km proposed were covered in just one week, making the Azotea Azul a reality.

Through its social action, IVI aims to provide the best place for our children to grow up. Today, more than ever, our combined steps add up and leave their mark.
