This technique has been fully developed by IVI and is currently used exclusively in our centers of excellence. Our aim with this method is to enhance ovarian response during stimulation and/or restore ovarian function in cases where it has been lost.
We use a bone marrow stimulant drug, whose ultimate effect is to send stem cells to the ovaries, where they produce growth factors that aid in the recovery of previously inactive follicles. Additionally, the technique is complemented by the injection of platelet-rich plasma into the ovaries.
This method combines multiple mechanisms of action: both through the local effect of growth factors secreted by the stem cells in the ovaries and the direct injection of growth factors via a transvaginal approach.
This technique is indicated for patients with low ovarian reserve and primary ovarian insufficiency. In cases of ovarian failure, this should be the first-line technique.
